Anaïs Tamisier was born in 1983 in Avignon, France and commenced violin lessons at the age of 5 with Professor Chantal Rodier at the Conservatoire d'Avignon. At the age of 13, Anaïs entered the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris as a student of Professor Suzanne Gessner and completed her studies there with distinction 2 years later. A period of study followed at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon with Marianne Piketty and Pavel Vernikov. Further important musical influences include studies with Michael Frischenschlager, Rainer Sonne, Gerhard Schulz, Vladimir Spivakov, Michèle Auclair, Roland Daugareil und Marie-Annick Nicolas. Anaïs was a prizewinner at competitions in France and Germany and has performed solo engagements in France, Germany, Austria, Canada, and China. In 2010 she toured Germany, Spain and France with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe under the baton of Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
Anaïs has been a member of the first violin section of the Radio Symphonie Orchester Wien since 2008.
